Our client, a leading independent global asset management firm with more than $500 billion in assets under management, is seeking an experienced Concur Travel & Expense Program professional for a 6+ month contract position. The role is expected to work a hybrid schedule. The office is in Charlotte in the South End area.
Job Summary: A detail-oriented and highly organized Concur Travel and Expense Program Specialist will manage and support the company's Concur Travel and Expense system. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the system, from configuration and user training to troubleshooting and reporting. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that travel and expense policies are adhered to, and that the system is effectively utilized to streamline processes.
Key Responsibilities:
System Management & Configuration:
- Configure and maintain the Concur Travel and Expense system to meet the organization's evolving needs.
- Customize and update workflows, approval hierarchies, and reporting templates within Concur.
- Monitor system performance and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies.
User Support & Training:
- Provide training and support to employees on using the Concur Travel and Expense system, including creating user guides, FAQs, and training materials.
- Offer troubleshooting assistance and resolve user inquiries related to system issues or expense reporting processes and questions.
- Conduct periodic refresher training sessions for staff to ensure continued compliance with company policies.
Policy Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all travel and expense activities comply with company policies, including proper documentation and timely submission of expense reports.
- Work with the finance team to generate reports on travel and expense trends, including spend analysis, compliance tracking, and auditing.
- Assist with implementing process improvements to optimize the use of Concur and reduce administrative workload.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams (finance, HR, and IT).
- Work directly with assigned representatives at Amex Travel and Concur.
- Collaborate with management to align Concur configuration with changing business needs and corporate policies.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss enhancements, new features, and system upgrades.
System Upgrades & Integration:
- Stay updated on the latest Concur system features and enhancements, providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Lead or participate in the implementation of system upgrades and integrations with other internal systems, such as ERP or payroll.
- Ensure a smooth transition during system updates with minimal disruption to daily operations.
Audit & Risk Management:
- Perform regular audits of travel and expense submissions to ensure compliance with corporate policies and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor for potential misuse or fraud and work with the finance and compliance teams to investigate discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience managing and supporting Concur Travel and Expense systems or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of corporate travel policies, expense reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in Concur Travel and Expense system, with hands-on experience in configuration, reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Knowledge of financial systems and accounting principles is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in system integrations (Concur with ERP, Payroll, etc.).
- Familiarity with data analytics and reporting tools.
- Project management experience is a plus.
Pay Rate- $44.00-$48.00/ hour. Final rate will be based on level of experience.
