Dauphin County Domestic Relations is currently accepting applications for the full-time, day shift position Conference Officer. The employee in this position holds establishment and modification conferences to prepare support orders based on the PA statewide guidelines or interstate support law. Job duties include utilizing the statewide computerized child support database; conducting conferences with clients and their attorneys which may include cases involving complex legal issues and/or complex financial scenarios; interpreting, analyzing, and evaluating reports, case data, and client information; preparing documents for parties signature or summaries, recommendations for the Court's review; processing correspondence related to cases, and monitoring payments. Prepares and presents cases for de novo/special hearings. The employee must adhere to DRO policies, procedures, and other laws in relation to support cases.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree program with major course work in criminal justice, psychology or social science.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Previous experience in a professional office environment; must have adequate knowledge of computer skills; and be capable of operating general office machines.
This is a union position. The starting hourly rate is $20.64/$45,614 annually.
