When you apply and get hired, you are eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus.Location: Cumberland County, NJPosition Status: Full TimePosition Summary:Center for Family Services is looking for a responsible and organized individual to fill the Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate. The Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate (CSVA) is responsible for providing advocacy, crisis intervention response, individual services, including case management, and support sessions/psycho-education to victims/survivors of sexual violence. The CSVA is responsible for presenting educational programs to the community at large and assisting the CSVA Coordinator with outreach and volunteer recruitment efforts and training. The CSVA reports directly to the Outreach Supervisor.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide advocacy, crisis-interventions/response, support sessions/psycho-education to individuals and family members and significant others affected by sexual violence.Provide case management assisting with resources, provide appropriate referrals for survivors and safety planning.Respond to 24-hour hotline, accompany individuals through procedures at area hospitals, police departments, prosecutor's office and court.Provide individuals with case-related medical and legal information and appropriate referrals.Maintain individual case files in the agency database following state and agency guidelines.Assist the CSVA Coordinator with outreach and recruitment efforts of volunteers.Assist the CSVA Coordinator with the 60-Hour New Jersey State Confidential Sexual Violence Advocate and Domestic Violence Response Team Certification Training.Complete monthly and quarterly statistics and reports.Participate in community collaboration meetings and the SERV Prevention Coalition and monthly NJCASA meetings.Meet the goals/outcome of grant requirements.Assist with office procedures deemed appropriate by the supervisor/management, pertinent to the operations of the program.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work or a related field.Work experience may substitute for education on a year-to-year basis.Bilingual preferred with the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in Spanish.Public Speaking skills.Current driver's license with a driving record of at least three years.Vehicle with current insurance and registration.Benefits:At the Center for Family Services our employees are our greatest resource and we are committed to investing in our staff.
