Akkodis is seeking a Construction Administrator for a Contract job with a client in Winnemucca, NV . The Construction Administrator ensures the construction scope is defined and coordinates the preparation and administration of bidding documents. Rate Range: $25/hour to $29/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Construction Administrator job responsibilities include:
- Monitoring, inspecting, and accepting Electrical Distribution construction work done by outside contractors to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinating project efforts with Project Managers, Engineers, other departments, and government agencies.
- Reviewing design drawings for constructability and providing technical expertise on Electrical Distribution line projects.
- Ensuring construction work is completed within company deadlines by reviewing contractor schedules and approving monthly invoices.
- Scheduling outages for construction in coordination with Operations and managing construction contracts.
- Negotiating change orders for any scope changes and maintaining a daily log of contractor activities.
- Preparing weekly activity reports and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, codes, and regulations.
- Providing leadership, training, and direction to fellow staff members.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- 2 years of related work experience, with at least 1 year in construction methods for electrical distribution line projects.
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and construction management for electrical distribution projects.
- Familiarity with local and federal permit requirements, processes, and procedures for transmission line and substation construction.
