Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Construction Assistant. The right candidate will handle all paperwork and the flow of paperwork to and from the central office, contractors, and the field office.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:Support the Construction Department with administrative dutiesEnsure that contractors' schedules are sent to themMake sure that all contractors have paperworkEnsure that all files and paperwork are brought back to the officeEnsure that purchase orders are sent in a timely mannerTrack and distribute the production scheduleMaintain accurate records and reports for the Construction DepartmentPick up starts from the central officeKeep all paper and files in orderConduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the companyAbility to work overtimeQualificationsEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED)Six months to one year of related experience and/or trainingStrong verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail and multi-tasking abilityStrong organizational skillsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form or via DRH applicationsProficiency with MS Office and emailAbility to sit for the majority of an 8-hour workday; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hearSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral visionThe noise level is generally moderatePreferred QualificationsAssociate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school a plusJD Edwards experience a plusCome join a winning team with a Fortune 500 company!
