Deeply committed to the Athens community, they take pride in making a positive impact - not only through the structures they build but also by fostering meaningful relationships with their employees, clients, and the community members they engage with every day.Job DescriptionThe Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the Project Manager in overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects from start to finish. This role requires close collaboration with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure the successful delivery of projects in line with company standards.
  • Maintain project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and meeting minutes. Ensure timely communication of all updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor project budgets, track costs, and assist in preparing cost forecasts.
  • Assist in developing and updating project schedules, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met. Track progress and report any delays or deviations to the Project Manager.
  • Help manage subcontractor relationships, including contract administration, reviewing scopes of work, and ensuring that all parties are aligned on project expectations.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients and other project stakeholders.
  • Assist in the review and management of change orders, ensuring that costs, schedules, and scope are properly documented and approved.

The Successful ApplicantThe successful candidate will have a basic understanding of the construction process with an eagerness to be mentored and grow their career. The ideal candidate will come with the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, PlanGrid) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members
  • Experience working with a general contractor either through internships or full time work is preferred
