Primary Function The primary function of this position will be to maintain and upgrade our petroleum service station equipment in a safe and efficient manner while complying with the standards set forth by NYSDEC, EPA, PADEP, W&M, OSHA, and Reid Petroleum. Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To)

  • Understand how pressurized systems work and an appreciation for the potential hazards associated with them.
  • Diagnose and repair submersible pumps, electrical breaks, piping, and conduits.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues with outside canopy lights, emergency stop equipment, and monitoring equipment.
  • Replacement of tank top sumps, dispenser sumps, and leak detection devices.
  • Transport material and equipment to and from job sites as necessary.
  • Safe and knowledgeable use of gas and battery-operated tools.
  • Retain a general knowledge of construction, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Take direction from the acting Foreman and perform requested tasks safely/efficiently.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
Pay Scale The hourly pay range for this role is $20/hr - $24/hr. Different factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to skills, experience and training, and licensure and certifications.   • Repetitive motions including shoveling, jackhammering, or working in tight spaces.

  • Able to withstand the effects of adverse weather conditions.
  • No sensory aversion to petroleum products.
  • Possess a mechanical aptitude; ability to use a variety of hand tools and power tools.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Problem-solving skills (identify, analyze, implement).
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in math and reading.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Comfortable with technology.
  • Must be able to take direction from others and receive constructive feedback.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid and clean NYS Class driver's license.
