- Valid Driver's License/acceptable driving record
- At least 5 years of proven, on-the-job residential carpentry and remodeling experience REQUIRED
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and an extensive criminal background check (No Felonies or Major Misdemeanors)
- Reside within a 30-mile radius of the Swartz office in Lima, OH
- The knowledge and skills to perform all aspects of residential carpentry processes.
- A strong working knowledge of carpentry principles, building materials and construction processes from foundation to finish.
- Demonstrate a professional appearance and attitude
- Proficiency in using carpentry tools and equipment
- Flexibility to work overtime or on weekends in emergency situations
- Physical stamina to handle prolonged standing, bending, and lifting.
Carpenter Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Perform carpentry duties effectively & efficiently to meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of workmanship
- Perform multiple carpentry tasks: drywall (hanging & finishing), interior trim, tile, cabinetry installation, siding, window & door installation, framing, flooring, painting, light plumbing & electrical, etc.
- Follow the scope of work for the project, communicate any issues/changes to the project manager
- ON-CALL responsibilities 1 week per month to respond to after hours/weekend emergency calls
- Produce quality work which consistently meets the company's standards and expectations
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow the established safety rules.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
