Position ID: J1024-0025 Job Title: Construction Commission Technician Job Type: Full-time City, Province, Country: Remote, Alabama, United States Job Category: Project / Construction Management Open Positions: 1 Posting Date: October 1, 2024 Closing Date: December 31, 2024 Growing Refrigeration Company is currently seeking a self-motivated individual to perform a Startup-Commissioning role for our Industrial and Recreational construction division in the US. We retrofit and install new Ammonia and CO2 refrigeration facilities. The ideal candidate would be a self-sufficient, hardworking, honest and motivated individual with the desire to provide the best solutions for our customer's facilities.Role Responsibilities Perform site and equipment evaluation for safety and proper installation Able to competently work with all trades, GC, sub-contractors and company personnel Accurately document all equipment model and serial numbers on startup documents Evaluate all mechanical and electrical drawings for installation accuracy Work with control personnel to ring out all wiring connections Perform proper pressure tests and evacuation procedure's as specified per job requirement Ability to properly commission and startup new and used equipment Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues during the commissioning process Ability to follow all company protocols, mechanical and safety processes Ability to properly complete all required paperwork including daily reports, time sheets, and commissioning documents Self-disciplined and able to work without direct supervision Provide outstanding customer service Ability to attend manufacturer startup training classes and pass all requirements to be factory certifiedRequired Professional Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications great work ethic and strong customer service skills A strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude A strong electrical circuitry and trouble shooting skills Understand and commission hydronic systems Familiar with Personal Protective Equipment Skill in the use of precision measuring devices Able to stand for a long duration of time, in excess of 8 hours a day Able to bend over and rotate body repeatedly Able to lift 50 pounds from floor to waist Ability to squat for 2+ minutes at a time Able to push/pull 100+ pounds of static force Willing and able to work overtime, holidays and night shifts if needed Willing to work onsite for weeks at a time as the job requires Refrigeration Certification is a plus 10 years field service and/or startup experience on industrial refrigeration equipment (Ammonia, CO2) Excellent communications and problem solving skills Computer skills, Windows familiarWe thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.Company ProfileCIMCO specializes in the engineering, design, manufacture, installation and service of complex thermal building solutions for industrial, process cooling and recreational refrigeration and mechanical systems.
