Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) Business Management group is seeking professionals interested in exploring a career as a Construction Contract Specialist. You will work a 9/80 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls EROB facility with every other Friday off. You will perform contract/procurement actions for assigned functional programs to acquire construction and other specialized services. Participate in constructability and scoping reviews to support advanced procurement planning. You will report to the Construction & Fabrication Acquisitions Manager. You will not have direct managerial responsibilities. Responsibilities Include: Follow nuclear quality assurance and safety procedures, technical methods, control systems, and protocols. You will participate as a member of technical project teams. Help communication between the project team and subcontractors to ensure fulfillment of contract terms. Monitor performance of existing suppliers and identify new suppliers. Provide contractual direction through all phases of construction activities. Prepare bid packages, conduct preproposal conferences and evaluate proposals for conformity to contract requirements, select or recommend successful offerors, negotiate subcontract provisions, write awards, and administer resulting subcontracts. Review and approve invoices. Ensure applicable labor laws are incorporated into contract terms and enforced with subcontractors. Negotiate and coordinate Change Requests and Subcontract Field Problems/Changes. Incorporate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts. Coordinate and enforce warranty provisions for onsite work.Qualifications: Minimum Requirements: EX3 level requires Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR a Masters Degree and 2 years of relevant experience, EX4 level requires Bachelor's Degree and 9 years of relevant experience OR a Masters Degree and 6 years of relevant experience. - Previous experience in construction acquisitions in a Federal environment.
- Contacts experience in a DOE M&O environment.
Job Information: The pay range for this position is: Level EX3-Grade 430 ($63,528 -$130,284) Level EX4-Grade 440 ($75,804-$155,496). At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
