We are a group of HSE Consultants that service a number of different industries.Position SummaryWe are looking for a Construction Coordinator who will be responsible for managing general contractors and subcontractors, testing agencies, budgets and schedules on specific buildings in support and coordination of overall plant construction project completion. This position will oversee all administration of construction contracts; conduct on-site inspection to monitor plan compliance. It will also direct activities of contractors and subcontractors to support project schedule in compliance with plans and specifications. Specifically research, plan, and administer building projects, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, and building materials. Present status reports. Receive, review and coordinate contract changes into project delivery. Be intimately and completely knowledgeable of current and future activities in area(s) of responsibility and be able to implement countermeasures to support project schedule. Some Key Responsibilities Implement building construction projects to support site. Coordinates construction scheduling and communication. Manage daily construction and RFI support for construction projects. Coordinate communications between owner, contractor and A/E firm May be responsible for estimates, schedules, materials and purchase orders. Supervises construction activity in the field. Coordinate weekend/shutdown work plans with contractors, facilities, NAMC shops, PC, and PE. Work with vendors and contractors to coordinate equipment delivery, installation, and scheduling. Have knowledge of general building construction methods. Develop project status reports for management review Monitor equipment installation methods for confirmation that installation meets specifications and drawings. Coordinator RFI's and CCR'sQualifications/Requirements Associates degree in construction management, preferably Level of experience 10-15 years 10+ years of experience in industrial construction projects, with emphasis on building construction (greenfield or brownfield) Strong technical knowledge of construction means and methods Proficient drawing review and field application abilities OSHA 30 and 510 certification Ability to properly manage a construction schedule on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Ability to stand, stoop, and walk throughout a large industrial manufacturing plant for many hours of the day. Ability to ascend & descend stairs to roof or equipment rooms throughout a large industrial manufacturing plant. Competent with Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook Strong organization and communication skills. Software experience: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project preferably Automotive building experience including underground utilities, earthwork, civil, structural steel, building envelope, mechanical / electrical, and building handover / completion, desired We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only those selected will be contacted.
