Job Title: Construction CoordinatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Coordinator to join our team for an exciting project involving the expansion to produce a fully electric vehicle. This role will be instrumental in managing the construction and equipment installation for the new battery assembly and storage facility. The ideal candidate will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial contract negotiations to project completion.
Responsibilities- Manage equipment installation and modification projects from scope creation to contract completion.
- Conduct initial contract negotiations with installation contractors and handle negotiations for any field orders during the contract period.
- Oversee installation of various equipment such as Robot/Jig Machines Cells, Transfer systems and conveyors, cooling water, exhaust systems, HVAC, lighting, sealer systems, utility distribution, hoists systems.
- Create machine specifications and manage overall project work, including coordinating with machine vendors and contractors for process equipment like transfer systems, conveyors, overhead rail systems, and AGVs.
- Manage general contractors, subcontractors, inspection and testing agencies, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate activities of all organizations involved in the project to ensure success, including general contractors, subcontractors, trucking and shipping companies, inspection and testing agencies, machine vendors, and various internal teams.
- Administer construction contracts and conduct onsite inspections to ensure compliance with plans.
- Direct activities of contractors and subcontractors to support the project schedule and ensure adherence to plans and specifications.
Essential Skills- OSHA 30 certification
- OSHA 510 certification
- NFPA 70E certification
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, or an Associate's Degree with 10+ years of experience
- 5+ years of experience in construction management
- Experience in industrial construction and project management
- Contractor management skills including safety, project planning, and technical review
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience in bid specification
- Strong communication skills
- CAD experience
- Prior budget costing and estimation experience
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
Work EnvironmentThis position is based onsite at TMMI with a minimum commitment of 2 years. There is no travel required for this role. The opportunity for other positions within TEMA following the completion of work at TMMI is available.
