Due to MSG's continued growth, a new opening is available for a Construction Engineer to assist with our projects in Monroe, MI!

Key Responsibilities

* Engaging transportation and municipal funded clients and projects specifically focused on construction services in the MDOT University and Metro Regions.

* Assigns tasks to and directs engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.

* Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the construction engineering work.

* Prepares scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.

* Assists with proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs.

* Correlates and analyzes field data, reviews plans and records, supports and prepares change orders, assists with dispute resolution, pay estimates, conducting progress meetings, preparing meeting minutes and other related duties, and finalizes or assists with finalizing and closing out the project.

* Regularly communicates with clients, contractors, and team members to ensure collaboration amongst project stakeholders.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

* Minimum 10 years of experience in Construction Inspection and Engineering.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Computer skills including use of e-mail, Excel, and Word, ProjectWise, AASHTOWare, BlueBeam

* Strong communication skills.

Certifications and Training:

* Michigan Professional Engineer (Preferred, not required)
