Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our dynamic client's team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of construction methodologies, and the ability to deliver accurate and competitive estimates. This role is crucial in helping us maintain high standards and possess successful track record.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for ground-up and renovation projects in the Retail, Healthcare, Public Sector, and Institutional sectors.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and complete estimates.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments as necessary to gather information for estimates.
  • Research and source materials, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and present bid proposals and participate in bid negotiations.
  • Monitor project budgets and adjust estimates as necessary to ensure project profitability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within the specified sectors.
  • Proficient in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift).
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
