M.L. McDonald is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic individual to join our Prefabricated Wall Panel Division as an Estimator / Project Manager. We are looking for someone with a can-do attitude, excellent organizational, communication, and management skills, and a willingness to contribute to the growth of our company. As a full-service finish contractor, we provide a wide range of superlative services to our clients.

Job Summary: The successful candidate will handle both estimating and project managing of their own projects and ideally has prior experience with prefabricated acoustic panels.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathering, analyzing, and estimating prefabricated panel projects.
  • Preparing and processing submittals, and maintaining submittal logs.
  • Maintaining comprehensive schedule tracking of ongoing projects.
  • Ordering and monitoring materials.
  • Managing material suppliers.
  • Tracking and reconciling material invoices and purchase orders.
  • Reviewing and tracking invitations to bid and proposals that include prefab panels.
  • Preparing, submitting, tracking, and processing change orders.
  • Coordinating LEED documentation forms.
  • Assisting in building code compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Construction Management or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of various prefabricated acoustical panel vendors used on projects.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, internal and external.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam.
  • Ability to be a team player, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to different situations.
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand vendor quotes and qualifications.
  • Ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
  • Valid driver's license required.
