Large real estate owner and developer based in New York City seeks an experienced Construction Estimator to project and control construction costs.Responsibilities to include:- Prepare labor and equipment cost estimates for projects in the planning, design and construction phase- Manage RFPs - Obtain bids from vendors and subcontractors- Compare and analyze competitive bids and identify qualified subcontractors- Make recommendations to senior leadership- Negotiate pricing - Prepare construction budgets- Review progress of projects to ensure their completion within the budgetRequirements:- In depth experience and knowledge of construction practices including extensive knowledge of cost for labor, materials, equipment, and engineering principals to accurately prepare bids- Experience in NYC multi-family/commercial projects- Bachelors degree degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management- Experience with estimating software- Strong written/verbal communication skills- Strong analytical skills
