About The Role:

A 25-year-old general contractor specializing in commercial interiors is seeking a Junior Estimator to join the estimating team based in Middlesex County, New Jersey. The company focuses on healthcare, corporate spaces, and office interiors and is growing steadily with a strong presence in New Jersey and Manhattan.

This role is designed for candidates with up to three years of general contractor experience who are eager to develop their skills in estimating commercial interior projects. Extensive experience in corporate and office spaces is essential. The position is full-time and on-site, with no remote work options.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the estimating team to analyze project documents, prepare takeoffs, and develop competitive bids for commercial interior projects.
• Focus on interior trades, ensuring comprehensive knowledge across all trades.
• Review project scopes and identify key cost drivers for accurate estimates.
• Communicate with subcontractors to obtain pricing and clarify project requirements.
• Support the development of budgets and cost analysis for healthcare, corporate spaces, and office interior projects.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in estimating with a general contractor, ideally focused on commercial interiors.
• Strong understanding of corporate spaces, office interiors, and healthcare projects.
• Familiarity with BuildingConnected or similar software is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to company methodologies for estimating.
