Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Calculating the cost of a construction project, including materials, labor, equipment, and transportation.
  • Gathering information about the project, including blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Working with the project team to create accurate estimates.
  • Conducting risk assessments and planning for delays or setbacks.
  • Monitoring construction processes to ensure costs stay on track.
  • Staying up to date with safety codes and construction improvements.
  • Oversee construction management, budget estimation, scheduling, de-sign, and scope development.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Able to be onsite 5 days a week in Brooklyn, NY.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 10+ years of experience in construction estimating with capital programs and public agencies.
  • OSHA-30 certification required.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
