Skill Set:
- Requires knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the construction industry and understanding of multi-family framing components.
- 5 years of experience as a construction estimator, multi-family project superintendent or foreman, or framing contractor required.
- Working knowledge (or at least familiarity) with takeoff software (Planswift) and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently and perform assigned tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision.
- Employee must be US based, EST or CST time zone.
- The work location for this position is remote.
Day to Day:
- The MF Estimator position works remotely and reports to the Director of Estimating.
- Responsible for review and analysis of blueprints and specifications, performing takeoffs and generating bill of material reports for lumber, framing hardware and other assigned scopes of work for multi-family and all other assigned projects in a timely manner.
- Communicates directly with our Project Managers and other employees to answer questions and provide takeoff revisions when required for change orders.
- Must have reliable internet connection and be available for communication via phone, email and Microsoft Teams during normal business hours.
