Summary

The Foreman is primarily responsible for assisting the Project Manager in coordinating tasks for the day, creating schedules for workers, overseeing the quality of the site, and managing the budget. They also must report the progress of the project to superiors.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform wall layouts.
  • Keep track of EWA and submit to office.
  • Report manpower and authorized worker list in a timely manner.
  • Forecast and manage piece work materials.
  • Pre-rock above ceiling before MEP.
  • Train and identify the best methods for handling work tools.
  • Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the site and materials.
  • QC all phases of the crew's work.
  • Perform job schedule projections.
  • Interpret blueprints, submittals, and specifications.
  • Manage, direct, and oversee workers.
  • Order and coordinate materials deliveries.
  • Effectively communicate with Project Superintendents and Management.
  • Maintain a high level of productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Accurately document construction activity and maintain productivity logs.
  • Attend weekly job site meetings as required.
  • Accurately track and report all employee hours to Senior Foreman on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Assist and direct employees with work that needs to be completed per schedule.
  • Manage day-to-day production of the project.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Valid state-issued driver's license or reliable transportation.
  • Minimum of two years of drywall experience.
  • Ability to influence change management and operational performance.
  • Thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to plan, organize and manage projects and set priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with all staff, with proficiency in English.
  • Commitment to all OSHA and Optiline safety practices and procedures.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Procore and/or PlanGrid

Physical: Stamina, manual dexterity, and good vision are essential to this role. The ability to climb ladders, work off ladders, and be within ladder weight restrictions is required. Must be able to regularly lift and/or pull up to 50 lbs.

Dress Code: For safety purposes, must wear well-fitting work pants/jeans and an assigned Optiline shirt. Sturdy steel toe boots/sneakers and any necessary safety gear on-site are required. Must be clean-shaven (a requirement for respirator use), well-groomed and hygienic.

Environment: The job functions are primarily carried out at off-site locations at residential homes and commercial properties. The noise level is usually moderate, but loud equipment and construction-type sounds occur. This position also requires the employee to be in the Company office and/or at the Client office(s) for various meetings. Adherence to all OSHA and Optiline safety practices and procedures is tremendously important.
