High Rise Construction Project Senior Scheduler (Miami, FL area)

NOW HIRING! We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Scheduler to join a dynamic team in the Miami, FL area. As a Senior Project Scheduler, you will be responsible for developing and managing comprehensive construction schedules, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, on time, and within budget. Your expertise and leadership in scheduling will be integral to the success of our commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities of Senior Scheduler :

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather project requirements and develop detailed construction schedules.
  • Utilize industry-leading scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) to create and maintain project schedules, incorporating all activities, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to accurately sequence construction activities.
  • Identify potential scheduling conflicts, delays, and resource constraints, and propose effective solutions to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct regular schedule updates and communicate progress to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Work with project teams to establish project duration, milestones, and critical paths.
  • Ensure the integration of subcontractor schedules and materials delivery timelines into the master project schedule.
  • Monitor project progress, track changes, and assess the impact on the schedule, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on schedule performance, including variance analysis and forecasting.
  • Mentor and guide junior schedulers, providing training and support in scheduling best practices.
  • Act as a key point of contact for scheduling-related inquiries from project teams and management.
  • Participate in project meetings, providing valuable insights and recommendations to optimize project execution.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovations in construction scheduling.

Qualifications of Senior Scheduler :

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Scheduler in commercial high rise construction projects, with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and project management principles.
  • Proficiency in construction scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, etc.).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to anticipate and address scheduling challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with experience Scheduling for (25 story High Rise) or other larger more unique projects.
  • Leadership qualities with a track record of successfully leading and mentoring scheduling teams.
  • Familiarity with construction industry regulations, Florida building codes, and safety standards.
