Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a highly motivated Construction Inspector 1 to join our Transportation Group in Columbia, MD or Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities include assisting with:Assist with data collection, quantity calculations, and inspections/testing related to transportation projectsAssist with documenting and forwarding identified or received field concerns Assist with submittal reviews and RFI responsesPrepare daily reports of construction activities and progress and prepare meeting minutes of weekly construction meetingsAssist with surveyingOther duties as assignedThis position requires heavy lifting, working outside in a variety of conditions, and the ability to perform work independently. Travel to construction sites throughout the state is an essential function of this position. A valid driver's license and good driving record is required. Extended hours and overnight stays may be required. A background check may be required.
