(SIE) is a full-service consulting engineering firm based in downtown Manhattan providing services in civil, structural, transportation engineering, bridge & facility inspection, construction management & inspection and lighting design. We are engaged in local community improvement projects to large, high-profile, multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects with a strong reputation of delivering a wide range of projects for our clients in the public sector.SIE is looking for a Construction Inspector to provide various inspection services on various New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYCDDC) projects. The ideal candidate will have past work experience with the DDC, especially experience with the construction of pedestrian ramps. The expected work location for this position would be Queens, New York.Responsibilities:Monitoring contractor's workEnsuring construction is as per the plans and specificationsPreparing daily reportsAssisting Office Engineer as neededOther duties as assignedQualification & Skills:5+ years of REI/CM experience on infrastructure projectsExperience working with public agencies requiredExperience with DDC projects preferredExperience with Pedestrian Ramps preferredBachelor's in engineering or active NICET certification requiredExpected salary range is $90,000-$120,000 annually.
