The ideal candidate will have experience in rail and public transit projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, specifications, and contract requirements. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and integrity of construction projects from inception to completion.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct on-site inspections of construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable codes.
  • Monitor work progress and report on quality, safety, and project timelines.
  • Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to address issues and implement solutions.
  • Review and approve material submittals and shop drawings.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, observations, and communications.
  • Prepare inspection reports and documentation for project stakeholders.
  • Participate in safety meetings and promote a culture of safety on job sites.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project teams as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in construction inspection, with a focus on rail and public transit projects.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and construction practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and software.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
