Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThe Construction Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all site materials meet requirements set forth in the project documents, work zones and other safety requirements and environmental permit requirements are met, and ensure the work is documented accurately through daily reports. This person will monitor and inspect roadway municipal construction, infrastructure improvement, utility and land development projects. The Inspector may compute daily pay quantities and prepare field adjustment estimates, inform project management of issues that arise in the field and assist in resolution as directed and contribute feedback to Project Managers. This is a highly interactive role that will require strong communication, problem solving, attention to detail and organizational skills.RequirementsBasic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related degree highly preferred 2+ years experience in construction, civil engineering, or project management Knowledgeable in PennDOT specifications and standards Skill in the use of field engineering, inspection methods and materials OSHA 10 Hour Safety Valid Drivers' License Must be eligible to work in the United StatesAdditional Qualifications: Knowledge of state and federal safety, environmental, and equal employment opportunity guidelines and regulations as they relate to transportation construction projects PennDOT Concrete Technician Certification NICET Level 2-4 in Transportation & Highway Construction OSHA 10 Hour Safetyo PennDOT NECEPTo ACI Concrete Field - Testing Techniciano PennDOT Flagger Training or equivalent
