The Summer 2025 Internship Experience is a full time position June 3, 2025 to August 1, 2025. The Construction Intern position is 100% travel in the lower 48 states, depending on project location. Hourly wage and travel expenses included. Position Summary: The Construction Internship position provides an opportunity to get hands-on experience and be part of a growing construction company that is committed to a superior finished tank. Construction Intern Duties and Responsibilities: Specific tasks will be tailored to the intern's experience level and abilities. Identify and implement improvements that will drive increases in daily output. Utilize and comply with methods of production, guidelines, and requirements according to established ISO 9001 policies. Use a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, work instructions, and other equipment to correctly assemble bolted tank systems. Read and follow assembly drawings, prints, and instructions. Conduct research using the internet and other sources of information. Create or update designated databases for specific department needs. Provide regular feedback and updates to the immediate manager about the status of assigned tasks. Present project results to management and/or department personnel. Follow all company and customer policies and procedures. May perform other duties as assigned. Construction Intern Skills and Specifications: Willing to learn, be mentored, and improve, with a positive attitude and solid communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team. Demonstrated proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and G-Suite. Good time management and prioritizing skills. Strong organizational and task management skills. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to learn operation of forklift, man-lift, and other material handling mobile equipment. Ability to safely operate a variety of power tools. Willingness to work at heights and inside of tanks. Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and/or sketches. Ability to use simple math to perform basic calculations. Knowledge and ability to use common measuring instruments and hand tools such as tape measure, level, or square. Ability to receive and comprehend verbal and/or non-verbal directions. Solid problem-solving skills. Ability to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to ensure first quality of work. Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with people in course of work. Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet tight deadlines. Able to travel with crew in the course of work. Construction Intern Education and Qualifications: Student currently enrolled in Construction or Manufacturing-related field or leading to a degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) fields. Construction Intern Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of Construction Intern, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Construction Intern Work Environment: While performing the duties of Construction Intern, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
