Some of our first hires were previous founders who sold their respective companies, and some of our hires were still in college. What this position is: The Pipedream network implementation team is looking for an experienced Construction Manager that will play a pivotal role in the successful installation of Pipedream's underground delivery systems. This will include both retrofits and new construction at quick service restaurants, grocery stores, and multi-mile City networks. Your expertise will be essential in directing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet all local building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards, while also being executed efficiently. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining budgets on ongoing projects and negotiating prices when required. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or equivalent field. 5+ years of experience in the construction industry. General Contractor's license is a plus. Strong technical knowledge of construction methods and materials. Excellent problem-solving skills. Possess a thorough understanding of large (24”) underground utility installations. Proficient in communication and teamwork. Responsibilities: Develop, recommend, and enforce construction policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance across all projects. Find local subcontractors or team to complete installations. Manage onsite construction projects and subcontractors. Provide expert advice on the selection of materials and methods for installing Pipedream systems. Experience in submitting local building permits and municipal ROW excavation permits. Streamline processes and implement value engineering to minimize waste and reduce costs effectively. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental standards, and industry guidelines. Engage with project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure smooth project execution.
