Summary: The Construction Manager will be tasked with managing and driving the construction activities of projects within a specific region, while interacting with customers, trade partners, municipalities, and other Heibar associates to deliver a quality product. The Regional Construction Manager is accountable for creating a Truly Outstanding Customer Experience for our customers. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company and the capability of working in a team environment are necessary for this position.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Recruit, network, identify and hire sub-contractor crews, qualifying all contract requirements and all needed field services.

* Monitor subcontractor safety programs, facilitate special training in field as needed.

* Be the Labor Advocate for difficult issues and set the standard for a value-based approach to solutions.

* Work with subcontractors and solve problems and issues with empathy.

* Facilitate start calls and log variances for escalating communication as needed.

* Effectively report crew status and issues for resolution

* Clearly communicate expectations on scopes and hold individuals accountable.

* Demonstrate a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement.

* Identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers; participate as a team player in all phases of the organization; and be open and responsive to change.

* Log and maintain locations and efficiencies of sub crews on a city-wide scale (variances).

* Log and maintain safety and contract insurance requirements for subcontractors.

* Review subcontractors pay.

* Comply with all company policies and procedures with focus on reducing EWO and continuous job movement.

* Continue learning scopes and licensing as needed.

* Hire, train, mentor and direct management of construction team within the region.

* Decrease overhead cost through quality, discipline, and vision.

* Manage construction budgets and meet or beat expectations.

* Enforce company safety policies including associates use of personal protective equipment.

* Other duties as assigned within the scope of the role.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

* Experience in production building management.

* Knowledge of common building materials used in residential, multi-family and commercial construction.

* Excellent organizational skills required.

* Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills, bi-lingual a plus

* Attention to detail, takes pride in quality of work.

* Efficient and able to complete assignments within a given deadline.

* Strong work ethic towards accomplishing goals and ability to work in a team environment.

* Working knowledge of computers (Microsoft Windows, Office and general internet)

* Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field, or minimum of 5 years' experience with production construction management, or a combination of both.

* Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.

Compensation Range : $95,000- $130,000/year based on experience
