Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Manager with Project Management experience to oversee construction projects for our Chemical facilities in the East St. Louis and Indianapolis Region. This role requires 90% travel within the area. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage construction projects, develop project plans, monitor progress, and mitigate risks.
- Supervise construction activities, ensure compliance with safety regulations, conduct site visits, and coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost control.
- Lead and mentor on-site project teams, conduct regular meetings with stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, liaise with regulatory bodies.
- Maintain project documentation, provide status updates to senior management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, implement safety programs.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of experience in Construction Management, ideally within the chemical, industrial, or similar sectors.
- Proven expertise in Project Management, encompassing budget oversight and resource allocation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within the region (90%)
Preferred:
- PMP or CCM Certification
- Experience with Chemical Processing or Industrial Facility construction projects.
- Familiarity with Lean Construction principles and methodologies.
