Position Summary & Duties: The Construction Manager is a direct-hire position working for HGA at a specialty chemical client facility in Shreveport, LA. The Construction Manager will lead specific components of the Construction Management efforts for various projects in accordance with policies and procedures to ensure the work is executed to meet safety, cost, schedule, and quality targets. The Construction Manager will provide consultation and expert advice to management. CONSTRUCTION MANAGER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Construction Manager will have primary responsibility for assisting and monitoring the Contractors for field construction/erection for the project. Reports to Construction Manager and will work primarily aligning with key Contractor field-level leadership Directly interface with Project Site team, PMs, and Engineers/designers. Drives site adherence to the project safety plans and initiatives. Responsible to measure, monitor and report: o Installed quantities of materials o Quality installation issues as they are found o Contractor construction tracking data (to schedule) to Project Construction Manager (typically daily or weekly progress) o Technical evaluation of RFIs and CFOs o First-line contact for Contractor to assist with technical interpretations questions and installation questions/issues o Work closely with the Project team providing technical input as needed for collection of specific data to measure productivity, data to estimate and establish earned values, technical information for resolution, and assist to reconcile schedule status with CM Collect all relevant information to manage the work Collect and manage quality data to accept installation to project specifications and standards Ensure Contractors are properly supervised to meet field conditions and work. Assist Contractor with logistics in the construction areas Read and interpret construction specifications Exercises discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significanceQualifications: CONSTRUCTION MANAGER REQUIREMENTS 2+ years of Field construction, construction management or engineering project experience required Engineering, Construction Management, or Business Administration degree required Prior experience working in refinery or chemicals manufacturing environment desired Capital project experience required Candidates should be located within daily commuting distance of the Shreveport, LA areaEqual Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled #IND1
