Akkodis is seeking a Construction Manager for a Contract job with a client in Tampa, FL(Remote) . The ideal candidate is responsible for overseeing small cell and fiber deployment, ensuring quality control and compliance with contract specifications. Note : This will be a heavy traveling position, up to 80%. Be working remote/WFH. Rate Range: $40/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Construction Manager job responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the deployment of small cell and fiber projects, including site design visits, power orders, and material procurement.
- Conducting quality control inspections and ensuring compliance with contract specifications and safety regulations.
- Managing project budgets, change orders, and ensuring accurate reporting of project progress and contractor performance.
- Coordinating with contractors and agency personnel to schedule work phases, inspections, and ensure proper execution of tasks.
- Verifying contractor billing, field measurements, and recommending adjustments to construction plans for cost savings or field conditions.
- Maintaining project records, including daily diaries, materials notebooks, and pay quantity records.
- Managing warehouse inventory, including fiber cable and vendor outfitting.
- Providing oversight during major outages and ensuring supervision of both internal and external resources.
Desired Qualifications:
- High School degree (bachelor's degree preferred).
- Minimum 5+ years of telecommunications/wireless construction management experience.
- Must have Small Cell deployment and Fiber Construction experience.
- Experience with overseeing quality control and ensuring compliance with contract specifications and safety standards.
