You will make strategic and technical choices on the project schedule, budget, and resource requirements, and you'll lead with an eye toward delivery.Key Responsibilities The role of the Construction Manager requires effective interpersonal, communication, organizational skills, ability to self-direct, demonstrated background in data center design, engineering, controls, operational requirements, and an emphasis on project/construction management. The Construction Manager is ultimately responsible for the complete project delivery of Ready for Service (RFS) for each lease site location. The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring that each project meets the Data Center Development (DCD) guidelines and standards, which may be adjusted from time-to-time based on best practices and Lesson Learned drawn from previous projects as well as industry changing best practice. In addition, the Construction Manager will be responsible to manage and ensure that the lease provider is complying and delivering the project per lease agreement contract. The Construction Manager will coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SME) to support the efforts of achieving RFS for each lease data center sites. The Construction Manager will manage the deliveries of projects from lease execution through RFS. In managing the delivery of projects, this position aligns team objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts with the Data Center Development Project Strategy. The Construction Manager will serve as an advocate for managing a safe worksite. Safety is one of the four pillars of our mission in delivering cloud capacity; joined by Quality, Schedule adherence, and Cost Management. The Construction Manager will also collaborate with Security, IT, Legal, Project Engineering, MS Business Risk Management, and other internal groups to maintain the corporate vision and goals for the Project. - The Key Responsibilities of the Construction Manager includes, but are not limited to: Serve as an advocate for managing a safe worksite.
- Identify and manage stakeholder dependencies and construction deliverables and handoffs with the following: E2E (End-to-End), Security (DCPS), Data Center Engineering (DCE), Data Center Operations (DC Ops), Site Selection and Acquisition (SSA), Environmental Health & Safety (EHS).
- Manage lease providers and support-associated teams and partners in the delivery of RFS Ready for Service for each lease site location.
- Required/Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years experience in construction project management of Data Centers or Mission Critical Facilities OR equivalent experience.
