We are looking for a driven and curious client-focused Construction Manager to grow with our team.
As a Construction Manager out of our Life Science North America (LSNA) group, you'll have the chance to work on various Life Science projects based out of our Conshohocken, PA office. You'll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business, as well as gain experience working directly with the project Contractors. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions to the challenges faced everyday on construction projects.
In this position, you'll ensure that construction projects, at some of the world's largest life science manufacturer's, are completed safely, on time, on budget, and exceed the standards and expectations of our clients. A successful construction manager carefully plans and manages the project, communicates exceptionally well with the project team, and tirelessly works to mitigate or resolve project risks that threaten schedule, budget, safety, or quality.
You should be a self-motivated professional with 2 or more years of experience with life science construction project administration and engineering.
As a Construction Manager, your duties will include the following:
- Ensure the completion of the project/contract turnover documents are completed to the satisfaction of the client, while simultaneously coordinating and working with the Client selected 3rd party CQV professional
- Perform onsite activities that will include onsite inspections and walkdowns and may also include construction or field administration tasks.
- Conduct project meetings with contractor and stakeholders.
- Actively manage and report on the status of the project turnover status and individual schedule updates into the project master schedule
- Monitor the turnover progress and make recommendations to the project management team to ensure timely completion and turnover to maintain the overall schedule.
- Maintain official project documentation files and logs.
- Review submittals, shop drawings, material certifications, and other project deliverables, which will support the end of project turnover process.
- Ensure all construction is in compliance with design specifications and drawings
- Complete the project closeout process including the accurate and timely submittal of project records to the client's satisfaction.
- Work to build a cooperative partnership between the client, contractor, and all stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of project issues and the overall success of the project.

- Bachelors Degree in either Architecture, Construction, Engineering, or Business or equivalent degree
- At least 2+ years of experience working in the construction industry; life science experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of general construction activity sequencing and execution
- Experience with 3D modeling software and time physically present on active construction projects
- Knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance testing/reporting
- Knowledge of the commissioning and qualification process as it specifically relates to MEP systems
- Experience as or working with a Commissioning and Qualification agent, ideally in a life science or regulated industry
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
- Knowledge and familiarity turnover projects on a system-by-system basis
- Experience with software systems Project Information Management Systems (PIMS) and KNEAT
- Knowledge and experience with implementation of LEAN strategies and technologies in project execution, including; Last Planner System (LPS), 5S Construction and off-site manufacturing (OSM) construction.
