Job Description:
The Construction Manager is a critical field leadership position and foundational to the safety and success of our projects. The Construction Manager will oversee all construction & installation activities on utility scale renewable projects in the field, providing leadership and overall site management / supervision, while ensuring successful completion of all contracted scopes of work. The Construction Manager will work closely with Project Owners, Clients, EPC Constructors, Project Managers, superintendents, as well as various internal and external stakeholders. This role is responsible to lead the members of the construction management team. This role may be seconded directly to the client depending on project requirements. Key Responsibilities Be a champion of safety while providing proactive leadership in accident prevention programs while ensuring safe work practices and safe work areas throughout the site Ensure all site personnel participate in safety meetings and ensure strict adherence to all HSE requirements Ensure the highest quality of standards and practices in the field at all times Have thorough understanding of the full project scope of work Oversee multiple teams across executing activities across the full project site Comprehend contract drawings, specifications, and other related deliverables Analyze operations, drawings, schedules, staff, daily reporting of field progress, and recommending improvements as necessary Ensure thorough and effective communication with all project stakeholders Understand resource allocation, planning & scheduling, and progress measurement Ensure materials and equipment are maintained and properly stored. Oversee productivity & performance of field operations and ensure staff has clear understanding of commitments and expectations Review and analyze budgets; monitor project costs/spend and identify areas for improvement Chair routine coordination meetings with staff and contractors Develop and maintain professional, and effective relationships with all project stakeholders while representing the core values of EnSite and our clients Visiting the different divisions to inspect activities, provide feedback, and issue conformance/non-conformance reports Assisting with the recruitment and training of new staff membersQualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree preferred, experience in lieu of education will be considered Advanced knowledge of leadership and management principles/practices in the construction environment required 15+ years experience in site management / leadership on large scale construction projects is required. Our ideal candidate has previous experience in both Solar and Battery Storage Systems. Experience leading and motivating project teams Experience maintaining professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders Excellent organizational, team management, problem-solving, and motivational skills Proficient in all MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and other project related software Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, including written/verbal communication Experience in a solar, wind, battery storage or other related field strongly desired Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills The ability to make decisions in stressful environments*This position is on-site and located in the Central Texas Region.
