We are seeking experienced construction engineering inspectors with ACI and other certifications.Your Impact Perform testing on general building sites and facilitiesInterpret project plans and specifications for compliance with projects requirementsPerform soil density testing using both nuclear gauge and sand cone in accordance with ASTM and project specifications on site at commercial construction projectsPerform sampling and testing of concrete in accordance with ASTM and project specificationsPrepare and submit written field reports summarizing daily activities/observations and density calculations and resultsObserve proofrolls, undercut operations, perform footing inspections with dynamic cone penetrometer, and inspect rebarTest and work in accordance with Company safety policiesMonitor work procedures for compliance with project specificationsInteract with client representative (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sitesPerform analysis or calculations to check accuracy, applicability and reasonableness of testing dataWho You AreRequired Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum 3 years related experienceValid Driver's LicenseReliability•must be able to arrive at designated project sites prior to scheduled timesAbility to prepare reports and documentationStrong written and verbal communication skillsBasic knowledge of ExcelFlexibility to work outside normal business hours as requiredMust pass physical, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policyPreferred Qualifications 1 year Construction Materials Testing experience either on commercial projects or on transportation construction projectsRecent graduate with BS in Civil Engineering or Construction ManagementACI Field Level I certification (concrete sampling and field testing)Troxler or equivalent certificationAbility to evaluate soil subgrade prior to placement of fill and perform standard soil Proctor and moisture checksAbility to read and understand site grading drawingsOther NCDOT certificationsPhysical Demands Physical examination required to obtain medical clearance to workAbility to stoop, kneel and to routinely lift and carry 50 poundsClean driving record and capable of being insured for driving company vehiclesAble to work in variable outside conditions, including extreme heat or cold#LI-RR1CorporateDescriptionStr : About WSP WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
