Description uties/Responsibilities: - Reviewing design and bidding documents
- Evaluating contractor bids
- Overseeing construction progress and scheduling
- Providing technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager
- Organizing the acquisition of materials, equipment, and workers
- Planning for costs
- Assist in the development of cost estimates
- Performing cost calculations and preparing financial projections
- Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the project manager
- Liaising between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. reports and maintain records of inspections and findings
Required Skills/Abilities: - Degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management
- Experience with architectural inspection; evaluating design calculations and data; reviewing construction drawings and submittals
- Knowledge of Construction Codes required
- Demonstrate flexibility and is adaptable to change
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Proficient in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Education, Experience and Training: - Must have a Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechnical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
- 1 to 3 years' experience in Construction Project Engineer work
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour safety training (preferred/optional).
- Must have cost breakdown, estimating, negotiating, and technical writing experience
