Job Description:
Description uties/Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing design and bidding documents
  • Evaluating contractor bids
  • Overseeing construction progress and scheduling
  • Providing technical support to construction staff under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • Organizing the acquisition of materials, equipment, and workers
  • Planning for costs
  • Assist in the development of cost estimates
  • Performing cost calculations and preparing financial projections
  • Preparing work schedules in collaboration with the project manager
  • Liaising between contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. reports and maintain records of inspections and findings
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management
  • Experience with architectural inspection; evaluating design calculations and data; reviewing construction drawings and submittals
  • Knowledge of Construction Codes required
  • Demonstrate flexibility and is adaptable to change
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Proficient in MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Education, Experience and Training:
  • Must have a Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechnical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in Construction Project Engineer work
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 30-hour safety training (preferred/optional).
  • Must have cost breakdown, estimating, negotiating, and technical writing experience
