The ideal candidate has 2-3 busy seasons in public accounting, preferably Big 4, pursuing a CPA and has experience with GAAP valuations and level 3 investments. The candidate will be an important member of the Accounting and External Reporting team with substantial responsibility from day one. This is a perfect opportunity for someone straight out of public accounting or for someone with Private Equity/Venture Capital experience. Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and disclosures in compliance with GAAP and SEC regulations.
- Analyze and reconcile complex accounts related to debt portfolio, investments, and other financial instruments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of SEC forms 10-Q, 10-K, and other filings.
- Perform valuation analysis for financial instruments and assets, including M&A, and liquidations.
- Maintain and update financial reporting systems.
- Assist with Board-mandated independent reviews of investment valuations.
- Accurate tracking of all M&A, Liquidation, IPO, and legal activity that impacts the valuation of investments.
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and internal controls.
- Provide support for ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- CPA or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-4 years in audit or accounting role with exposure to investment valuation and SEC reporting.
- Strong analytical capabilities/ understanding of US GAAP/ Familiarity with public reporting.
