UI Health is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our Healthcare Facility Operations & Life Safety team. This role

reports to the Director, Healthcare Facility Operations & Life Safety, and is responsible for planning and overseeing the building process of multiple construction projects from start to finish for the health enterprise. This will include managing a portfolio of projects of strategic and operational importance to the organization in addition to developing and maintaining a dashboard to track progress towards organizational goals. Duties include reviewing cost estimates, budgets, contracting, purchasing, scheduling of work and shutdowns, documenting and closing-out of projects, with the goal of meeting or exceeding expectations. The Construction Project Manager will work closely with managers, directors, and analysts to identify areas for improvement. Creating an engaging culture, providing an ideal patient experience, planning for strategic growth, and ensuring a sustainable future.

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Responsible for the overseeing the development of project work plans and performance metrics, monitor work plans and metrics to assure activities are executed on-time and on-budget, coordinate the internal and external resources to complete activities as assigned.

* Knowledgeable regarding to Environment of Care and Life Safety Standard associated with construction and renovation projects in the healthcare and ambulatory environments.

* Monitors construction schedules, construction project progress, conducts construction site inspections and safety reviews, resource allocations, and performance of contractors regarding quality of work; makes recommendations to keep the project on target and within budget; implements corrective actions and decision-making regarding delays and immediate needs.

* Initiate Construction Exhibits and ensures completion of construction projects in accordance with the project plan and that the results meet requirements regarding scope, schedule, budget, quality, and university, state and federal codes, rules, and regulations.

* Responsible for leading an assigned portfolio of projects/ initiatives through active engagement of Executive Leadership and all stakeholders.

* Lead activities including project proposal/ charter definition, budget development, resource allocation, management, information distribution and meeting facilitation.

* Develop, execute and manage detailed project/work plans, schedules, project estimates for resource requirements and status reports. Manages activities of project staff and acts as central coordinator of project communication.

* Conduct effective issue resolution and conflict management skills throughout the process to ensure the team continues to move forward. Develop, implement, and maintain performance dashboards to provide transparency into growth, access, patient experience, and financial performance metrics across clinics

* Responsible for tracking, monitoring, and communicating monthly, quarterly, and yearly progress in line with the Ambulatory Department's strategic plan, goals, and metrics

* Work collaboratively with and take professional guidance from the Chief Ambulatory Operations Officer.

* Collaborate with UI Health resources and committees to create strategies to increase clinical program visibility and outreach to serve the community and reduce health disparities.

Minimum Qualifications Required:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a closely related field.

* Two (2) years (24 months) of commercial construction management experience.

NOTE: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.
