As a Project Manager II for the Boldt Company, you will manage all aspects of the development and implementation of projects from original concept to final implementation and commissioning. The Project Manager II has responsibility for the protection and promotion of the interests of Boldt on our projects every day. This role will also verify that the work meets all safety standards, is within schedule requirements, and is constructed to the highest level of quality that meets the budget. This hands-on role will lead the communication efforts for internal and external project reporting and be responsible for managing the project team. You are an integral part of the success of Boldt.What you get to do:SAFETY:Actively engages in day-to-day safety activities.Implements the Safety Culture Improvement Plan on your project.Embraces safety with a 'we care' mindset.Be a lifelong learner of how we can improve our project safety every day.PEOPLE:Lead architects, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, inspectors, and other Boldt staff in resolving issues.Lead meetings with contractors and clients to coordinate design and construction efforts.Empower and lead a high-performance team.Coach performance and development of team responsibilities.Support and promote companywide internship and apprenticeship programs.Engage in companywide training programs and development.Mentor assistant project managers and project engineers.QUALITY:Assure team has a comprehensive understanding of the contract documents.Lead implementation of the Quality Management System (QMS).Lead design studies and develop cost estimates.SCHEDULE:Lead the Boldt Production System (BPS).Lead subcontractor trade coordination meetings.Lead the supply chain procurement process.Maintain up-to-date production visuals and site logistics plans.COST:Negotiate change orders and manage project changes.Provide technical support for cost control.Lead specific sections of the overall project budget.Provide budget/estimate to internal and external customers.RISK:Prepare a detailed contract items list.Develop scopes of work and execute subcontracts.Participate in the close-out process.Participate in risk management processes.What we expect from you:Bachelors' degree in engineering, construction management, or relevant field required.Seven or more years of related experience.Solid understanding of construction equipment and techniques.Ability to interact and communicate optimally with others.Understanding of successful project delivery.Ability to apply innovative management techniques.Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in 0365 Office Suite.Physical requirements and working conditions:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to position objects and operate tools or controls. Employee frequently uses a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to maneuver in confined spaces. The employee regularly remains stationary and moves to access people or machinery. The employee occasionally ascends and/or descends a ladder or stairs. The employee must regularly move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds. The employee is regularly required to travel and frequently performs work on-site at construction work sites. Specific abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.The working conditions require the employee to work both inside and outside in various weather conditions. Personal protective equipment must be used to maintain safety. The position may expose the employee to loud noises and harmful materials.
