Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Alameda County, Ca
Hours: Full-time, 40+ hours per week
Salary Range: $110,000.00-$148,000.00 per year, plus performance-based bonuses
Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to oversee underground utility projects, including water, sewer, and electrical infrastructure. This role involves managing all phases of the project lifecycle to ensure timely delivery, adherence to budget, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, and budgets for underground utility installations.
- Manage project budgets, track costs, and approve invoices to ensure all expenses remain within allocated funds.
- Secure necessary permits and ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Coordinate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, by working closely with contractors and in-house teams.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, engineers, and regulatory agencies, providing regular status updates.
- Identify and mitigate risks to maintain project schedules and quality.
- Ensure high standards of quality control by conducting inspections and addressing deficiencies.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations on all job sites.
- Prepare and present regular project progress reports, including financial updates and any changes to project scope.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, specifically in underground utilities or construction.
- Proven ability to successfully manage utility installation projects from start to finish.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and underground utility regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, etc.).
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with municipal agencies and permitting processes is a plus.
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
