Project Manager – Austin, TX
Overview:
A well-established general contracting firm in Austin, TX, specializing in retail and education construction, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage construction projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and internal teams to keep the project on track.
- Supervise and guide project teams, including field staff and subcontractors.
- Ensure quality control and compliance with safety standards and building codes.
- Review and approve change orders, invoices, and other contract-related documents.
- Perform regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues.
- Identify and manage project risks to keep projects moving forward smoothly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5-8 years of experience in commercial construction, particularly in retail and education projects.
- Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work well with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- OSHA Certification or similar safety training is preferred.
