HAYS have exclusively partnered with a 30+ year established general contractor who are looking to hire a Project Manager. You will be joining a leading general contractor in Washington, DC, renowned for its commitment to excellence in building projects within the district. With a strong portfolio of successful local government projects, the company prides itself on delivering high-quality, sustainable, and innovative solutions to the building environment.

Your new role:

As a Construction Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of ground-up and renovation construction projects. Your responsibilities will include managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintaining effective communication with clients and stakeholders. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

There is a pathway for this role to develop into a Senior Project Manager position where you begin to lead a team.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • 5+ years of commercial construction experience, ground-up or renovation projects working for a general contractor.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred but is not essential.
  • Proficiency in Procore would be preferred however any general knowledge of using construction related software is proficient.
  • Comfortable in working 5 days on-site in Washington DC, either in the office or job site.
