The QTI Group in partnership with our client has an immediate need for a Construction Project Manager for a project in the heart of Washington, D.C.
This half-time (50%) contract role has a start in mid-January and will continue through 2025 +
The scope of the remodel is extensive, encompassing interior design, physical form & function, and mechanical systems of two buildings.
A strong desire to incorporate sustainable materials and design methods is appreciated.
Summary:
This project is expected to follow all project delivery, & PMO governance standards. The Project Manager will engage with staff, project construction team, subcontractors and stakeholders.
Required Experience:
- Proven success in managing commercial construction projects
- Experience managing on behalf of the client is preferred
- Strong construction acumen: ability to read floorplans, understand common construction language, interpreting and explaining contracts, and technical information
- Significant expertise in developing detailed construction project plans, keen understanding of various subcontractor and stakeholder dependencies
- Demonstrated expertise in project plan development & active management a must
- Demonstrated ability in vendor/contract management, providing budget reporting and daily management of project expenditures
- Prior experience working within a defined project management office (PMO) with a clear understanding of project management principles (PMP certification is desirable)
