We are the nation's largest manufacturer of steel wire reinforcing products for concrete construction applications. We manufacture and market prestressed concrete (PC) strand and welded wire reinforcement, including engineered structural mesh, concrete pipe reinforcement, and standard welded wire reinforcement for concrete reinforcement applications. The company operates ten manufacturing facilities in eight states. This role is a part of our Engineered Products division.

About You

The person we are looking for is responsible for ensuring the timely and costly completion of projects by overseeing Insteel's role in concrete construction. Entails working with a variety of stakeholders to schedule, coordinate materials (both internally and externally), and monitor overall progress to ensure timely delivery of material.

Position Snapshot

A Project Manager is commonly expected to know how to multi-task, solve problems, manage tight deadlines, monitor progress, communicate effectively, and oversee minute details with accuracy. To be successful in this role you will:

* Manage large construction projects, such as commercial structures, roadways, and bridges; and assures their timely and cost-efficient completion.

* Oversees project pre-planning processes, estimates costs and budget of contract changes, and establishes delivery schedules.

* Assesses project estimations, and budgets. Reviews design plans and IEP shop drawings.

* Prepares and presents drafts of change orders to clients.

* Contributes to weekly project progress meetings.

* Meets with construction managers and coordinates the delivery of materials with client.

* Generates reports focusing on project progress, job status, and costs.

* Reviews contracts for scope/value and terms and conditions.

Requirements and Education:

The education requirements and experience requirements listed here indicate the minimum basic educational knowledge and the time required by a normal qualified person to perform the job duties of the position.

* Extensive professional, technical or administrative training (Bachelor's Degree/Civil Engineer/Structural); broad knowledge of general Civil Engineering including a working knowledge of CAD.

* Minimum of 5 years of estimating and bidding work-related experience in structural products is required.

* An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
