Flexible Hourly Rate: $50 - 65+/hr

Schedule: Fully onsite - 8:00am - 5:00pm EST (Overtime availability!)
We are seeking a Construction Manager to join our clients team for an 5-6 year long project renovating buildings and structures around Virginia Military Institutes Campus. This person will be boots on the ground working alongside the owner, fulfilling onsite inspection and construction management needs.
Day-to-day:
- Construction Project Execution:
- Plans, manages and oversees construction management activities on small to medium size construction projects of routine nature or a single larger project or multiple-contract projects of routine nature.
- Supervise and lead the timely and cost-effective installation of the contracted work of the project or multiple projects
- Create a plan to successfully sequence the work, manage jobsite logistics, and track materials & personnel
- Maintain a high quality of work consistent with project and company standards
- Takes initiative and personal responsibility to deliver a project on schedule and on budget
- Develop and update the project schedule and exhibit a command of critical schedule milestones
- Communicate the schedule effectively with contractors and project stakeholders. Lead multi-disciplinary meetings to gain universal buy-in on the project schedule. Develop and maintain recovery schedules
- Overseeing and managing the project, overseeing all scope, schedule, and budget.
Must Haves:
- 3+ years of relevant experience in construction management
- Higher Education or Department of Defense building renovation experience
- Working knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
- Knowledge of construction products, details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
- Possesses an understanding of all facets of the construction process.
- Good time and project management skills. Ability to analyze, problem-solve and mitigate risks.
