Encore Talent Solutions is seeking a Project Manager for an end client requirement.
Senior Project Managers lead all project activity including schedules, spending and related items to ensure timely and quality completion of assigned construction projects. They are relied upon to be the “hub” of project information and communicate regularly with the internal team (Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Field) and the external project team (General Contractor & vendors). Primary responsibilities include: Create and maintain all project documentation; Monitor and track project schedule and budget, labor and material takeoffs; Prepare change orders; Ongoing communication and problem solving throughout the project life cycle and Employee Mentoring. Will be required to drive company and/or personal vehicle to conduct company business.
Budget:
- Monitors budget closely and submits re-estimates monthly.
- Identifies and corrects variances related to the cost of materials, labor and equipment.
- Ensures change orders or claims are properly raised as change orders or billable changes, tracked separately, documented appropriately and submitted timely.
- Ensures accurate and timely billing of jobs and follows up on collection monitoring, problem jobs, etc.
Project Management:
- Works as a Project Executive on one or more projects.
- Acts as a resource to PM's and PC's to manage projects, solve problems and gain efficiencies.
- Visits the job site regularly.
- Rigorously defends Pioneer when challenged to perform work outside of organization's Scope of Work.
Purchasing:
Oversees material take-offs, bids from multiple vendors and ensures proposals are apples to apples and that materials are purchased cost effectively while also meeting scheduled delivery dates.
Reporting:
- Completes and submits all required documentation and is prepared to report on project status at monthly reviews.
- Project files contain all required paperwork.
Scheduling:
- Plans the most effective and cost-efficient way of meeting project requirements.
- Manages vendor scope/schedule within established project requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is preferred.
- Eight years' experience with custom curtain wall systems / unitized wall systems / structural glass wall systems / or architectural metal panels is required.
- Expresses thoughts, ideas and technical information clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Works well under the pressure of time constraints and changing expectations.
- A valid driver's license.
- Demonstrates safe driving practices.
- Carry required insurance amounts as outlined in the Company Driver Policy.
- Experienced using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with MS Project or any other project management software is preferred.
