In the role of Construction Project Representative, we'll count on you to:

* This is a staff augmented position to support the Owner and company employees at a solid waste management facility located on the west side of Oahu (minimum 1-year commitment)

* Support the Owner's interest on larger, more complex and smaller construction projects in a heavy industrial processing setting

* Maintain accurate daily records of 3rd party operator/construction site activity and produce required reports on progress, safety, quality, permit compliance, schedule, and budget status

* Review construction submittals, requests for information, shop drawings, pay applications, change orders and other documents on behalf of the Owner

* Assist with project audit and closeout tasks requested by the Owner

* Review and analyze baseline and updated construction schedules

* Coordinate activities with project team members, including the Owner, Engineer, Operator/Contractor

* Participate in problem solving and value engineering approaches focused on achieving cost savings while ensuring quality and integrity

Preferred Qualifications

* Construction or design certifications

* Experience with estimating software (Timberline ), scheduling software (Primavera P3 or SureTrak ), project management software (Prolog ), and AutoCAD

* Ability to problem solve and provide possible solutions to the Owner

* LI-MO1

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Technology, or combination of education and relevant experience

* Demonstrated construction experience on multidisciplinary projects

* Must have a fundamental understanding of contracts and familiarity with codes and laws governing construction

* Must possess the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within documents

* Must be able to work in a team environment

* Must be computer literate, experience with Microsoft Office, Primavera, or related construction packages

* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
