Job Description:
Legacy Builders, Inc. of Aberdeen, SD is looking for a Construction Project Superintendent to join our successful team in the field. This individual must have experience/skills in commercial construction projects with background in multiple of the following areas: managing multiple subcontractors, scheduling, stick/panel framing, site evacuation and quality control with a minimum of 4 years experience in related field. Legacy Builders is a General Contractor building predominately in-house projects throughout the US. The Construction Project Superintendent will work directly with in-house Project Manager and Support Staff on in-house or partners, fast-tracked hotel construction projects. This individual must be flexible and willing to travel to their designated project for the duration of construction. The following skills and abilities are a minimum for this position: Effectively communicate with subcontractors and office team via phone, email and in person. Supervise subcontractors while on the job site daily, ensuring schedules are met. Maintain safety and quality control throughout the entire project. Take deliveries on the job site of materials and equipment, ensuring no damage has occurred. Identify deficiencies or problems prior to issues and provide solutions prior to issues arising on the job. Solid understanding of construction means and methods for wood framed structures using the latest UBC and IBC code criteria. Strong time management, multi-tasker and organizational skills. Self-motivated, dedicated and goal orientated. Must work well under pressure in a deadline environment and be flexible to change with business priorities. Minimum of beginner to intermediate skills in all office software including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. Strong document management that ensures all required project documentation is covered/included in each project's lifecycle and compliant with project retention policies. Excellent benefit package and salary based on experience. Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly required to sit and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and drive or ride in a motor vehicle. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl. the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. In some instances, employee will be required to participate in construction related activities. Must have the ability to travel, sometimes with short notice. Work Environment: Employee will be exposed to ongoing construction sites and various weather conditions. The noise level may be moderate to loud at times.
