Job DescriptionThis is a Full-time position working M-F, 8am-4:30pm. Weekly earned wages is an option for this position. Job Summary: As the Construction Project Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the construction team in monitoring the daily jobsite activities. You will report to the Construction Project Engineer.Primary Tasks:1. Assist with the review of construction documents for accuracy and thoroughness, as well as having a complete understanding of the plans, specifications, submittals, and shop drawings. Monitor the construction as it progresses to ensure the proper materials are being installed and they are being installed correctly. Assist in coordinating all changes to the contract documents.2. Assist in the inspecting/monitoring of the progress of work to ensure that work conforms to construction documents and an adequate workforce is being maintained to ensure the project stays on schedule. Notify the contractor to correct any defective or non-compliant work.3. Collaborate with supervisory and engineering personnel, as well as inspectors and suppliers of tools and materials, to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.4. Prepare and distribute construction daily reports and maintain project logs. Document progression of construction activities with daily photos of all areas of the project site.5. Attend meetings and review delivery schedules, RFI's, submittals, field directives, safety communications (including safety records, incident reports, schedule/coordinate trainings, etc.) and other necessary construction documentation as needed. Ensure contractor is conducting weekly jobsite safety meetings.6. Assist with the review and redline of construction documents during the construction process and review final construction documents to finalize record drawings for the project.7. Assist the Project Team in managing the punch list process, including punch list prepared by the Contractor, Architect, Construction Department, Owner's Representative, and any other Stakeholder(s).8.
