Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Real Estate Finance Manager to join our growing team. In this key role, you will be at the forefront of managing the financial aspects of construction projects and real estate investments. Your expertise will help ensure that contracts, budgets, invoices, and financial reports are handled with precision and efficiency. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and oversee key financial operations to support the growth and success of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Invoice & Payment Processing: Manage the timely and accurate processing of invoices for subcontractors, material purchases, and project-related expenses.
* Contract Management: Oversee AIA payment applications across various contract types (lump sum, time & materials, cost reimbursable) and ensure compliance with contract terms.
* Purchase Orders: Prepare and manage vendor purchase orders based on approved proposals and project budgets.
* Vendor & Supplier Relations: Handle vendor inquiries and manage accounts payable to ensure timely payments and maintain good relationships with suppliers.
* Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that vendors are in compliance with insurance and documentation requirements for each project. Maintain detailed project files.
* Financial Reporting & Analysis: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including Work In Progress (WIP) schedules, and analyze AP aging to identify and resolve discrepancies.
* Budget & Audit Support: Assist in the development and reconciliation of budgets, as well as the preparation for audits and capital improvement projects.
* Special Projects: Support the SVP of Finance with various ad-hoc projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
* Experience: 5-10 years of experience in construction accounting, real estate finance, or a similar field. A combination of education and hands-on experience is highly valued.
* Technical Skills:
* Proficiency in general ledger (GL) operations.
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.) and MS Office Suite.
* Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, or similar financial systems is a plus.
